Halloween Venetian-style

While it’s originally an American tradition, the Venetians are slowly taking on the holiday since there are many international families living here. There are some private parties for adults, but you will see many children dressed up in the evening saying “dolcetto scherzeto” (meaning “trick or treat”). It’s cold, so dress warm!

The true Venetian Halloween, though, is during Carnevale. And they don’t kid around with the costumes, it’s a serious matter!! The whole city transforms into a dress up party!
