If you’re into listening to a live orchestra in a magnificient ballroom, then you might enjoy these concert series in Venice at Ca’Rezzonico starting on November 25th, 2011. The largest room in the palazzo, created by Massari, has open ceilings two stories high. And the walls are decorated in trompe l’oeil by the Lombard Pietro Visconti. It’s a unique ambiance in this Grand Canal palace. The architectural imagery created makes the large room seem even more massive than it is. The ceiling, painted by Giovan Battista Crosato, depicts Apollo riding his carriage between Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
How’s that for a backdrop!
Tickets start at €23 per person and the shows start at 6:30 p.m.
When: Nov. 25, Dec.2, Dec. 8, Dec.15
Where: Ca’ Rezzonico Palace, Fondamenta Rezzonico 3136, Venice, VE Italy
I’d like to second the sguoestign that you’re not finding anything because Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark are NOT Eastern Europe. Scandinavia is what you need to be looking for
